Membership Categories
Category I ~ Marketer Membership
Petroleum Marketers, Dealers, Lube Oil Marketers
- Petroleum Marketer - Any person, firm or corporation who markets petroleum products in the State of Florida and purchases petroleum wholesale, owning and/or operating facilities whose operation is of an independent and nature, unaffiliated with a petroleum refiner.
- Dealer - An Independent Operator who owns or leases and operates retail gasoline facilities.
- Lube Oil Marketer - Any person, firm or corporation who markets lubricants in the State of Florida and purchases lubricants wholesale, owning and/or operating lubricant distribution equipment and/or facilities. Persons, firms, or corporations who market other petroleum products in addition to lubricants must base FPMA membership dues on the greater trade.
Category II ~ Non-Petroleum Marketers
Any person, firm or corporation not directly engaged in selling products or services to marketer members, who shares common characteristics, interests or pursuits with marketer members.
NOTE: This does not include anyone who would qualify as a petroleum marketer.
Category III ~ Supplier Members
Any person, firm or corporation directly engaged in selling products or services to Category I and II members.
Category IV ~ Patrons
Any person, firm, corporation, or organization who believes that support of FPMA Marketer members (Categories I and II) warrants extraordinary participation in the Association. All Patron Members receive special recognition by FPMA as noted on the Dues Structure page.
